Wind Power Plants

We provide a wide spectrum of services for the supporting structures of wind power plants; these range from design review to checking of structural calculations, structural design, monitoring, recurring inspections, expert opinions on further operation and maintenance planning as well as retreat concepts, notably for pre-stressed concrete. We contributed significantly in numerous developments over the past 20 years, e.g. steel towers with sections split lengthwise, pre-stressed concrete construction methods with external pre-stressing or precast solutions for tower and foundation.

We are fully familiar with the regulations concerning the structural stability and operation of wind power plants – first and foremost the IEA Guidelines, DIN EN 61400 and the DIBt Guideline. Our contribution towards the further development of codes and guidelines such as DIN 18088 or BWE principles is highly valued. Numerous technical certifications document our competence, for example, regarding inspections according to EN ISO 9712, the execution and operation of steel supporting structures DIN EN 1090 EXC4, rope access technology according to FISAT or as DAfStb-certified expert for concrete damage and concrete maintenance.
